Sour Dizzle – AJ’s Sour x Lime Sour

A special breeding project from CHAnetics is sure to get you excited about some sour hybrids.

Get ready for a killer ride across exquisite flavors and beautiful fall colors with some phenos. The flavor profile is a lip smacking  sour citrus with some hints of a sour candy like profile. The sour fuel comes on stronger at the very end of flowering and into the cure. It has a more crisp orange peel citrus, but with a fuel filled lime exhale with hints of candy. It’s the Sour Dizzle!!!

The hash produces a ripping fuel/lime combo, like diesel soaked rags with undertones of lime peels, you can almost catch hints of some other citrus candy but it is heavily dominated by the sour/gas citrus profiles.

Breeder’s Note: Cold-responsive anthocyanin biosynthesis inherited from the Lime Sour donor parent. Phenotypes with dominant Lime Sour traits will upregulate purple coloration under certain abiotic stress (cooler temperatures, nutrients, light), while AJ’s Sour D-dominant plants remain more green.

Sour Dizzle — Breeder Provenance

Sour Dizzle was bred by CHAnetics / Cannabis Horticultural Association (“CHA”) in 2023 in Humboldt County, California. The cross is AJ’s Sour Diesel × Lime Sour, utilizing clone selections of AJ Sour Diesel and phenomenal seed selections from MeanGene’s Lime Sour.

During early evaluation runs in 2023, phenotypic variation expressed two useful paths:

  1. Flower-leaning plants with strong terpene presence suitable for cured flower, and

  2. Resin-forward phenotypes that performed as promising hash cultivars, with reported extraction yields reaching up to 6% in select test samples.

AJ’s Sour Diesel – A long backstory from the legend himself has secured this cut of Sour Diesel into the history books. To me it seems to flower a little faster than some of the longer east coast sours and has a little bit more citrus sour than gas sour but still really really nice sour.

Lime Sour (Sour D x Lime5) – A creation from MeanGene aka Freeborn Selections, this cross was made with Skunktek’s Sour D cut and MeanGene’s Lime5. The LimeF5 is (Hollywood Pure Kush x Black Lime) x Black Lime and absolutely reeks. Put the Sour D in there and you end up with and incredible a candy lime kush profile. Plus the Black Lime genetics add some beautiful color.

Sour hybrids can be a little finicky with intersex traits so if you have already grown it you should be able to handle it. Outdoors it should be fine. Greenhouse usually has no problems. Indoors will just depend on environmental controls. Sometimes you have to pick off the lower anthers in the first few weeks and then it is fine the rest of flowering. Some are fine the whole time.
